MAG's beta kicked off today but it was the game's servers getting most of the attention. They were as overburdened as the car to the right and acted like it.

Beta testers reported a myriad of problems, most of them relating to connection issues. MAG Guide tried to keep track of the problems here and here.

To Zipper's credit, they have been working on the problem throughout the day. They made a strong effort to keep fans updated on their official forums.

And before you get your camos in a bunch, don't forget this is a beta.

Unfortunately, some mainstream sites did pick up on the story. Malfunctioning servers isn't the best ad for a new game.

Our take: they still got a few weeks to get it all sorted out. We're not worried.
